Beginners Courses
The next beginners courses will start on 28th April 2010 and will run for 6 weeks, The cost of the course is £30 and includes equipment hire ( Foil, Mask, Glove & Jacket) and instruction.
The course cost also includes membership of Cotswold Fencing Club for the remainder of that calender year.
£10 Deposit is required to book a place on the course.
The Junior Course will run from 7 to 8 pm
The Senior Course will run from 8 to 9 pm
The course covers basic fencing skills : simple attacks, defence, terminology, fencing safely, introduction to competition fencing, and can lead to a British Academy of Fencing Bronze Award.
The general format of the lessons being about 10 mins footwork, 30 mins group instruction, and 5-10 mins supervised fencing. (The rest of the time putting equipment on/off)
You will need to wear training shoes, jogging bottoms (or similar) & T-shirt.
Changing facilities are available.
A drink may also be advisable (water or sports drink).
Juniors age 9 to 16 between 7.00 and 8.00 pm
Seniors age 17 and over, between 8.00 and 9.00 pm
